During the first quarter of this year, travel with the state-owned train company SJ increased by 33 percent compared to the same period last year.
Revenue increased from SEK 2,022 million for the same period the previous year to SEK 2,478 million this year. Operating profit rose from minus SEK 129 million to plus SEK 48 million, according to the quarterly report.
SJ writes in a press release that traffic was negatively affected by "the Swedish Transport Administration's long-standing problems with delivering the necessary documentation regarding track work planning within the specified time.".
