Record high temperatures were measured on Saturday in Vietnam. 

The new record is 44.1 degrees Celsius, reports TT.

The record was measured at a measuring station in Thanh Hoa province in northern Vietnam, according to the country's National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. The previous record, 43.4 degrees, was recorded in central Vietnam in 2019.

“This is a worrying record considering climate change and global warming,” says Nguyen Ngoc Huy, a Hanoi-based climate change expert, adding that he expects even higher temperatures in the future.
