The first commercial flight of China's first large domestically produced passenger plane will take place on Sunday, according to the schedule for China Eastern Airlines, the country's first buyer of the C919 aircraft, Reuters reports.
The plane will fly from Shanghai to Beijing with flight number MU9191.
The commercial introduction of the C919 is a milestone in China's hopes of breaking the duopoly that European Airbus and American Boeing have long held in the market.
