| With 2.5 million travelers in June, the first summer month of the year was the busiest since the coronavirus hit in 2020. The favorite of charter guests is Greece, with Crete on the travel throne. Overall, however, Spain is by far the most popular holiday country. |
| The summer has gotten off to a good start at Copenhagen Airport. 2,535,445 million people passed through the terminals in June, passenger figures show. This corresponds to an index of 112 compared to the previous year. – We have had a flying start to the summer with a lot of activity at the airport, nearly full planes and around nine out of ten travelers back after the corona – not least on the routes to the south, says Peter Krogsgaard, commercial manager at Copenhagen Airport. In June, 180,000 passengers flew to sunny Spanish destinations such as Malaga, Mallorca and Barcelona. This makes Spain the favorite destination of the summer, followed by France, Italy, Greece and Turkey. In total, there are 177 direct routes to 52 countries to choose from this summer – in June alone, 12 new routes were opened to, among others, Montreal, Bordeaux, Naples, Palermo, Newquay and Zadar.
