Three of Scandic's hotels in Stockholm are now being strengthened with new hotel directors, Scandic Anglais, Scandic No 53 and Scandic Skärholmen. All have been recruited internally and have many years of industry experience. All three have, during their time with the company, been examined in Scandic's internal leadership program, Talent@Scandic.
– At Scandic, there are great opportunities to grow as employees, which is evident when our internal talents repeatedly take on leading positions within the company. It is with great confidence that I welcome three very committed and competent leaders to some of our Stockholm hotels ahead of a fast-paced summer, says Joakim Elveroth, District Director at Scandic.
Margita Palmberg, Danijela Salov and Vegard Fjärvoll have been appointed as hotel directors at the three hotels and together have solid industry experience. Margita Palmberg, who will take up the position at Scandic Anglais just off Stureplan, has worked in the hospitality industry, both in and outside Sweden, for over 20 years. She has been with Scandic since 2015 and then had a central role in the opening of Scandic Continental, most recently coming from Scandic Alvik as Hotel Director.
– Scandic Anglais is an icon in the hotel market in Stockholm, with a good location on Stureplan, we often arrange fun events here both during the day and in the evening. It will be fun to lead this fantastic hotel together with my employees into the future with high guest satisfaction and continue to contribute to Scandic Sweden's development, says Margita Palmberg.
Margita Palmberg, Danijela Salov and Vegard Fjärvoll have all graduated from Scandic's internal leadership program Talent@Scandic. For over 20 years, the program has aimed to develop future leaders within the hotel group and has paved the way for many Scandic employees to take the step up to positions such as hotel director.
– Together with my colleagues at Scandic no 53, we are taking on what we hope will be a fast-paced summer with great energy. We now welcome happy homestay guests and visitors who want to experience beautiful Summer Stockholm. And after a couple of years as a hotel director in northern Sweden, it feels great to come back to Stockholm where I started my journey at Scandic to make my mark on one of our most central hotels, says Danijela Salov.
– I am grateful and humbled by my new assignment as hotel director. Scandi's leadership program has given me good conditions and tools that I hope will strengthen me as a leader. Scandic Skärholmen is a wonderful place that is appreciated by both leisure and business travelers. I notice a great interest from guests who want to experience the southern part of Stockholm, as it is only a short distance to the southern pulse and wonderful summer evenings, says Vegard Fjärvoll.
Margita, Danijela and Vegard took up their roles in early summer.
