It is now clear that Astrid Lindgrens Vimmerby is strengthening its already solid organization with another top talent on the company's board.
Annie Lööf, former Minister of Industry and Trade, now joins as a board member and brings extensive experience in both politics and business.
– Annie Lööf has a unique and sought-after competence that many want to take part in. Her values are also exactly in line with the company's, so we are incredibly happy and proud of our fantastic recruitment. We are a strong team with very talented people and the fact that Annie Lööf chooses to work with us is a very good mark for us as a company, says Nils Nyman, Chairman of the Board of Astrid Lindgrens Vimmerby AB.
Annie Lööf herself emphasizes the pride in being able to help develop Astrid Lindgren's Vimmerby and its important role in the Småland tourism industry.
– For me, Astrid Lindgren is childhood, Småland and warm, clear values. It is a great privilege to be able to help develop Astrid Lindgren's World and her childhood home Näs and ensure that even more children and adults can experience her stories about Pippi, Emil and Skorpan.
I look forward to being part of the continued journey to both get more people to take part in this cultural treasure and at the same time create jobs and development locally in Småland.
Astrid Lindgrens Vimmerby AB (which includes Astrid Lindgrens Värld, Näs Astrid Lindgrens childhood home and Astrid Lindgrens Vimmerby Meetings and Conferences) works intensively and continuously with offensive initiatives that consolidate Vimmerby as one of Sweden's strongest visitor destinations.
