Record profit for Air France-KLM – but below expectations

The French-Dutch airline Air France-KLM, which is in the process of buying into SAS, reports a 31 percent increase in profits for the third quarter of this year. This resulted in a record operating profit of 1.34 billion euros (approximately 16 billion kronor).

But expectations were higher among analysts. The average forecast among analysts was for an operating profit of 1.38 billion.

Turnover rose by almost 7 percent to 8.66 billion euros, which compares with an average forecast of 8.72 billion.
