Due to the heightened terror threat level in Sweden, the police are introducing a total ban on bags at all major events in Sweden, reports TT.
The decision has been made by the Police Authority and is effective from Wednesday.
"It is based on the current security situation that we have assessed to introduce a bag ban at all major sporting events starting today. This is linked to the fact that the terror threat level is at 4," says Buster Mirow, press secretary at the national media center at the police, to TT.
The decision covers all major events in Sweden.
