SkiStar Åre, which has already opened for the ski season, is now inviting you to one of the best ski test weekends ever. With an impressive snow depth of between 60-70 cm in the terrain, the number of open slopes and lifts is increasing. What really stands out is that the ski and snowboard park, SkiStar Snow Park black and red level including Garden, is opening up – something that has never happened so early in the season before.
– We have had very favorable temperatures that have been ideal for snow production in combination with snowfall. It is fantastic to be able to offer the opportunity to test equipment on a variety of slopes and in the SkiStar Snow Park already now, says Sebastian Thomasson, Destination Manager SkiStar Åre.
Åre's Ski Test Weekend, which takes place December 7-10, gives ski enthusiasts the opportunity to test products from over 50 well-known brands completely free of charge. It gives them the chance to experience the very latest in ski and snowboard equipment and compare different brands and models. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier, there is something for everyone to try.
– The ski test weekend is a tradition for many guests who return every year. In addition to skiing, it is also a weekend when the doors to restaurants and entertainment are opened in earnest. There is truly something for all tastes, which makes the ski test weekend a perfect opportunity to combine skiing with good food and take part in the entertainment with us, concludes Sebastian Thomasson, destination manager SkiStar Åre.
Near Åre village in the Bräcke area is SkiStar Snow Park Åre. There is a blue (not open yet), a red and a black line as well as lots of jumps, rails and features. At the bottom of the area towards the Bräckeliften is the illuminated park area "Garden".
On December 7, SkiStar's ski bus in Åre will start operating for the season. The ski bus makes it easy to get between the cabin and the slopes, or between the ski areas. The bus is free for everyone with a valid SkiPass.
