
An SAS plane en route from Arlanda to Helsinki has returned to the airport. According to information provided to Aftonbladet, it is due to the smell of smoke in the cabin.
– It was an SAS plane that declared ”Mayday” due to the smell of smoke in the cabin. We have no information about what happened, says Lisa Mjörning, press spokesperson at the Swedish Maritime and Air Rescue Centre (JRCC).
The plane made a controlled emergency landing at 2:20 p.m., JRCC said. There were a total of 32 people on board.
– They just felt that there was a smell of smoke, nothing was burning, says Irena Busic, press manager at SAS.
