Expect disruption to train services in the UK at the end of January. The Aslef union has warned of a series of strikes during the period January 30-February 5, with train drivers for various train operators being taken out in batches, the Financial Times reports.
When train drivers are hired for individual lines, it normally causes major disruptions, which affect large parts of train traffic.
The conflict between Aslef and the train companies is about a protracted dispute over a new wage agreement.
