Norwegian airline Norwegian had 1,892,362 passengers in April, while Widerøe had 315,495 passengers. In total, the group had 2.2 million passengers in April.

This is stated in a press release.

Norwegian's capacity increased by 18 percent compared to April last year, while the load factor was 80.3 percent. Norwegian had an average of 81 aircraft in operation during April, an increase from 73 in March and a result of the summer program now starting. 

”"This year's summer program started in April. Capacity increased significantly in April and we had an average of 14 more aircraft in operation compared to last year. Passenger figures show an increase of 13 percent more passengers compared to the same period last year. It is pleasing that many people are booking holiday trips now," comments Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen. 

Capacity (ASK) increased by 18 percent while passenger traffic measured as RPK (revenue per passenger kilometer flown) increased by 14 percent.

The cabin factor was 80.3 percent, down three percentage points, and is due primarily to Easter falling in March.
