Gardermoen airports in Oslo and Flesland in Bergen are at risk of being paralyzed by strikes starting Monday.

Just over 400 employees at the airports – including flight technicians and baggage handlers – have been given notice of strike action unless the trade union Fellesforbundet and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (NHO) reach an agreement before midnight.

According to E24 The dispute mainly concerns sickness benefits and pensions.

”"It's the usual, finances and other issues," mediator Carl Petter Martinsen tells NTB.

He says he is optimistic about finding a solution, even though the parties are far apart.

”There is a lot of work left, to put it plainly.”
