The government of the Maldives is to stop Israelis from entering the country due to the war in Gaza.
President Mohamed Muizzu's office announced that the cabinet has decided to amend laws to prevent people with Israeli passports from entering the country. A special committee will be formed to oversee the process.
Nearly 11,000 Israelis visited the Maldives last year.
In the Maldives, known for its luxury resorts, anger is rising over the Gaza war.
Muizzu will also appoint a special envoy to assess Palestinian needs and launch a fundraising campaign.
