Ticket giant Ticketmaster confirms they have been the victim of a hacker attack.

The hacking group Shinyhunters has previously announced that they stole data on 560 million customers from the company.

Shinyhunters claimed on May 27 that they had stolen the data, and announced that the data was for sale for 500,000 US dollars (5.3 million SEK).

Ticketmaster's parent company Live Nation announced on Friday, US time, that it had "identified unauthorized activity" a week before the hacker group posted about it on online sites.

”We are working to reduce the risks to our users and the company, and have notified and are cooperating with law enforcement,” Live Nation said in a filing with US authorities.

According to the company, the incident will not have any material impact on its business operations or financial position.

Ticketmaster is based in California and operates one of the world's largest online platforms for tickets to various events. They also have operations in Sweden.
