Here are the hotels that won in this year's edition of the BWH Hotels Awards

The BWH Hotels Awards honor hotels where owners and staff have succeeded in excelling in certain areas. For the first time this year, three personal Awards have also been added, where employees at the hotels who have gone the extra mile are celebrated. Eight categories are presented, with four entries in each category competing. This year's edition of the BWH Hotels Awards, which took place on June 3 in Stockholm, included the following categories:; Best Breakfast of the year, Voice of the guest, Improver of the year, Rewards of the year, Hotel of the year, Front Desk Star of the year, Housekeeper of the year and Leader of the year.

The winners this time are:

Hotel of the year: Best Western Hotel Vrigstad with the justification;
The hotel has been at the top year after year in all areas. The owners have successfully expanded with more hotels and businesses and are the symbol of entrepreneurship. The award goes to a hotel that shows that the software is at least as important as the hardware and the employees at the hotel make it a favorite among regular guests.

Other nominees in the category: Best Western Plus HUS 57, Vimmerby Stadshotell, WorldHotels Crafted and Ole Bull, BW Signature Collection.

Best Breakfast of the Year: Hotel Ruth, WorldHotels Crafted in Stockholm with the motivation;
A breakfast that is a delight for both the eye and the palate. Beautifully presented and using the highest quality ingredients, guests have the perfect start to the day. Everything from the scrambled eggs with parmesan and chili to the cream cake is top-notch and served with a smile.

Other nominees in the category: Hotel Frantz, WorldHotels Crafted, Best Western Hotel Herman Bang and Best Western Hotel Baltic.

Improver of the year: Hotel Falköping, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western with the justification;
The hotel is good proof that it pays to invest. The investments made in the hotel have meant that they have improved their guest satisfaction the most of all the hotels in the chain and that they can now boast high ratings in all areas.

Other nominees in the category: Best Western Hotell Ett, Voksenåsen Hotell, BW Signature Collection and Sure Hotel by Best Western Arena.

Rewards of the year: Best Western Tingvold Park Hotel Steinkjer in Norway with the justification;
The hotel ranks at the top year after year when it comes to recruiting members for our loyalty program. In addition, guests enjoy themselves and our most valuable guests always feel extra welcome at the hotel.

Other nominees in the category: Hotel Esplanade, BW Signature Collection, Best Western Hotel Herman Bang and Best Western Hotel Danderyd.

Voice of the guest: Best Western Hotel Danderyd in Stockholm with the justification;
Delivering beyond expectations is a description that fits this hotel very well. Guests give it top marks across the board, but especially highlight the personal service.

Other nominees in the category: Hotel Ruth, WorldHotels Crafted, The Vault, WorldHotels Crafted and Best Western Hotel Vrigstad.

Front Desk Star of the year: Minna Heikkilä, Receptionist, Best Western Nya Star Hotel with the motivation;
She shines at the reception desk and makes both regulars and newcomers feel seen and welcome home. That is why it is with joy and pride that we would like to title this person ”Front Desk Star of the Year”. She is clearly a BWH star!

Other nominees in the category: Nathalee Engerblom Receptionist, Best Western Hotel Statt Katrineholm, Caroline Kring, Receptionist – Best Western Plus Hotel Fredericia, Hanne Vendelbo, Receptionist, Best Western Hotel Royal Holstebro

Housekeeper of the year: Tove Malmborg, Quality Manager, Best Western Plus Västerviks Stadshotell with the motivation;
Her hard work is not only visible from the kind words of colleagues but also from the great reviews from guests that remain strong year after year. She shoulderes a great responsibility, with a strong team behind her and does it with bravura. 
It is with great pleasure that we can give a 10 out of 10 to Tove Malmborg.

Leader of the year: Sarah Lagerbäck, CEO, Best Western Hotel Statt Katrineholm with the motivation;
This person breathes service and always provides a warm welcome. Creative with an energy level that surpasses most. Her inspiring leadership style is contagious throughout her entire team at the hotel. She is ”Leading by example” personified. She not only makes the hotel a pleasant place to work, but is exactly the kind of leader you want to take inspiration from within BWH Hotels. She is true hospitality personified.

Other nominees in the category: Katrin Pettersson, General Manager, Best Western Hotel Statt Katrineholm, Sara Nilsson, General Manager, Best Western Plus HUS 57, Martina Andersson, Hotel Manager, Vimmerby Stadshotell, WorldHotels Crafted.

The winners were selected by BWH Hotels together with reviews from guests and were presented during the hotel group's annual conference, which this year took place in Stockholm.
