The Swedish Consumer Agency is demanding answers from Apollo after customers' package travel prices were increased during payment. According to the travel company, this is due to a technical error.
– We have been working for a long time to find a solution, says Martina Krantz, press officer.
Since the beginning of the year, five people have reported Apollo to Consumer Agency for misleading marketing.
In a letter sent by the authority, it is stated that the travel company has marketed package holidays at a certain price – but that the price has then been increased when the purchase is to be made. Some complainants have stated that they have updated the website and searched for the trip again, whereupon they have been shown the original price again – only to then again receive a new, higher price just before payment.
Now the Swedish Consumer Agency demands that Apollo respond by July 3rd as to why the prices are changing.
Apollo about incorrect prices
According to Martina Krantz, press officer at Apollo, the price increases are due to a technical error that the travel company has had "for some time.".
