The Spanish Tourist Board (Turespaña) is proud to announce that the successful ”Spain Talks” event series is now making its Nordic debut. On September 18, 2024, Stockholm will host this important discussion forum, which has previously been held in London and Milan, and continues in Paris and New York.

”Spain Talks” is a platform to highlight and discuss the most relevant aspects of sustainable tourism. This unique event aims to celebrate quality, commitment and innovation in the tourism industry, with a particular focus on promoting dialogue and sharing valuable experiences and best practices between the Spanish and Nordic tourism industries. 

In conjunction with ”Spain Talks”, the Spanish Tourist Board wants to recognize and reward Nordic players in the travel industry and press who show a special commitment to sustainable tourism in Spain. They are now inviting the media to nominate their contributions to the Media Awards, an award that honors the most outstanding articles and initiatives in the field.

Media Awards: criteria and nomination
The media award is aimed at journalists and content creators who have published material on sustainable tourism in Spain, both digitally and in print, between January 2023 and May 2024. The organization is looking for contributions that provoke reflection on the sustainability of tourism. This could involve highlighting alternative destinations without mass tourism or highlighting the tangible or intangible heritage and environmental wealth that Spain has to offer.

  • The application deadline is August 15th at 11:59 p.m.
  • The prize is valid for participants from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
