SAS is canceling all flights on three routes to and from Stockholm during November and December. The airports affected are Sundsvall-Timrå Airport, Ronneby and Ängelholm, according to SVT News Västernorrland.

On the route Sundvall-Timrå Airport and Stockholm, there are three to four departures per day that are canceled during weekdays.

”"This is a real setback for us who had expected to have a better year," says Frank Andersson, airport manager, to Sundsvalls Tidning.

The reason is that there has been a shortage of aircraft when the airlines Bra and SAS merged.

The company Xfly, which operates the flights for SAS, uses a clause in the contract that means it will stop flying as early as November. This means that SAS will have a shortage of planes until the end of the year when Bra takes over the traffic, according to SVT Nyheter Västernorrland.

”"It will hit many airports hard and we are one of those that will take a real beating," Frank Andersson tells the newspaper.
