Classic restaurant chain files for bankruptcy

The American restaurant chain TGI Friday's has filed for so-called Chapter 11 proceedings in a bankruptcy court in Texas, USA.

The restaurant chain, which has been struggling financially for some time, now has 39 restaurants in the US market. According to the chain, a dozen or so restaurants will remain open during the restructuring process.

This spring, the company that operates TGI Friday's in Sweden filed for bankruptcy.
