Norwegian airline Norse Atlantic Airways is establishing itself at Arlanda. The company is launching a direct route to Bangkok, Thailand, ahead of the winter season, writes Swedavia in a press release.

Arlanda has lost several long-haul routes in recent years when SAS chose to move them to Copenhagen Airport Kastrup or close them down. Norse Atlantic Airways was founded in March 2021 and is focused on long-haul flights.

Starting on 29 October 2025, Norse Atlantic will operate the Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Int'l (BKK) route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, until the end of the winter season. The route will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with seating for 338 passengers in Premium and Economy Class. The new route will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
