Aircraft manufacturer Boeing has restarted production of the important 737 Max model after the major strike this fall.

In early November, the 33,000 mechanics returned to their jobs at Boeing after a seven-week strike. Now Boeing can finally restart production of the company's best-selling 737 Max aircraft, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Production of the 737 and 767 models is expected to resume shortly, the company said.

The strike clearly impacted Boeing's sales. In November, it delivered only nine 737 Max planes, the lowest monthly figure since the pandemic year of 2021. 

The restarted production caused the stock to rise by just over 4 percent on Wall Street.
