From May 1, it will be mandatory for all foreign nationals traveling to Thailand to fill out a digital form called TM6, writes Bangkok Post.
The rule also applies to travelers from countries that are visa-exempt.
The form replaces a corresponding paper form that was discontinued in April last year.
In the form, visitors to Thailand must, among other things, be able to report their address during their stay.
A source tells the newspaper that it could take up to a year before the system works flawlessly.
The Thai government is also discussing introducing a tourist tax of 300 baht, about a hundred kronor, for everyone traveling into the country.
