During January, Swedavia's ten airports had a total of just over two million passengers. This is at the same level as in January 2024. The strong trend for international travel and weaker development for domestic travel continues at the beginning of the year. At the end of the month, Japan's largest airline, All Nippon Airways, also started its establishment of a completely new intercontinental direct route between Arlanda-Tokyo, which further strengthens Swedish accessibility. SAS also began its domestic initiative at Arlanda during the month.
–In January, passenger volume was at the same level as the previous year. At the end of the month, ANA also started its long-awaited initiative with a direct route to Japan. A total of just over two million passengers flew via Swedavia's ten airports in January 2025. Travel is therefore at the same level compared to January 2024. This is 73 percent of the levels before the pandemic, in 2019. International travel increased by three percent while domestic travel decreased by ten percent. At Stockholm Arlanda, air travel increased overall by five percent.

Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweden's largest airport, had a total of just over 1.5 million passengers in January. This is an increase of five percent compared to January last year and 83 percent of pre-pandemic levels. International travel increased by three percent to just over 1.2 million passengers and domestic travel increased by 14 percent to just over 274,000 passengers.
Gothenburg Landvetter Airport had a total of just over 331,000 passengers in January, which is a decrease of one percent compared to last year's results in January. International travel increased by two percent to just over 300,000 passengers, while domestic travel decreased by 23 percent to just over 30,000 passengers. Passenger levels at Landvetter in January are at 74 percent of pre-pandemic levels.
