A-Train AB has received refinancing that enables Arlanda Express to continue investing in the vehicle fleet as well as in infrastructure and service, to make the journey to Arlanda Airport even more attractive for travelers.

It is now clear that A-Train AB and its parent company have received a refinancing of a total of SEK 5.6 billion with a term of six years, with the possibility of an extension of another two years. This extensive refinancing is being carried out together with 9 banks and will ensure a good financial basis for continued continuous investments in both vehicles and infrastructure.

”"This refinancing is an important step for both A-Train and Arlanda express. Our already good liquidity has been further strengthened, which gives us the opportunity to continue to develop our business for many years to come. The interest from the market has been great and we are very satisfied with the group of banks we have now tied to us and look forward to working together for many years to come", Oscar Leopoldson, CFO of A-Train AB.

During the spring, A-Train will make significant investments in new Arlanda express trains, which will provide travelers with an even more comfortable and smooth journey to the airport. The new trains are longer, have more seats and can carry more passengers per trip. A-Train will also begin an expansion of the depot in Blackvreten, which will create the conditions for efficient and safe maintenance of the new vehicles.

A comprehensive upgrade and renovation of all 29 escalators is planned at all three stations at Arlanda Airport. The escalator renovation is a long-term project that will last for six years and aims to ensure its operation for another 25 years.

”"Through the new refinancing, we are not only creating stable financial conditions for the future - we are also laying the foundation to continue developing the customer experience, improving our infrastructure and investing in the next generation of trains. With new trains, expanded depot capacity and extensive renovations of our stations, we are strengthening our position as the obvious choice for air travelers - both today and in the future." Magnus Zetterberg, CEO of A-Train AB.

According to the press release.
