Swedish tourist dies in Rhodes

A 51-year-old Swedish tourist has died after falling from a balcony at a hotel in Rhodes on Wednesday morning, Greek media reports.

According to media reports, the man was drunk and arguing with people in his travel party before eyewitnesses saw him on the balcony, hanging with one hand on the railing. He then allegedly tried to climb back up but then lost his grip and fell.

The fall occurred from the fourth floor and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The local police on Rhodes have launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident. Expressen is seeking UD.
