Flixtrain has placed an order for 65 new European high-speed trains from Spanish manufacturer Talgo, with locomotives supplied by Siemens.

The order, including certain maintenance services, has a contract value of up to EUR 2.4 billion, equivalent to just over SEK 26 billion.
According to CEO André Schwämmlein, the investment marks the start of a new era for train travel, where the company sees great growth potential in both Germany and the rest of Europe.
The high-speed rail market in Germany is expected to grow by 45 percent by 2030, compared to 2021 volume. Growth is also expected outside of Europe.
