Just in time for the holidays, SJ is now releasing around 73,000 extra tickets for several popular routes around Sweden. In total, these are summer tickets for 300 departures.

The extra release concerns travel in July. The tickets went on sale on Tuesday afternoon and are now available for purchase in SJ's app and on sj.se, among other places.

– There is always a very high demand for summer tickets for our trains. Therefore, thanks to solid planning work, we have been able to deploy extra vehicles and personnel for a large number of departures across the country in July. In total, this amounts to approximately 73,000 extra tickets, in addition to the summer tickets we released last winter, says Sofie Struwe, Director of Commercial Traffic at SJ.

Extra journeys are now available on several popular lines, such as Gothenburg–Stockholm/Stockholm–Gothenburg, Malmö–Stockholm/Stockholm–Malmö and the line Stockholm–Sundsvall–Umeå in both directions.

– On the lines between Gothenburg and Stockholm and Malmö and Stockholm, we are releasing tickets for extra trains every day in July, says Sofie Struwe.

The extra tickets are for departures operated by SJ's express and regional trains. They are available for the following lines in both directions, among others:

  • Stockholm–Gothenburg
  • Stockholm–Malmö Daily
  • Stockholm–Sundsvall–Umeå
  • Linköping–Stockholm–Gävle
  • Stockholm–Falun

According to the press release.
