An extensive renovation awaits Quality Hotel Luleå, which will undergo both a reconstruction and expansion during the year. The hotel is being fundamentally modernized and expanded with more hotel and conference rooms, a new relaxation area with gym and pool, and two new restaurant concepts. The initiative is being made in collaboration with the property owner Pandox and involves an investment of SEK 115 million. The renovation is expected to be completed in spring 2026.

Since opening in 2001, Quality Hotel Luleå has offered family-friendly accommodation with extensive conference facilities and popular restaurants such as Invit and Cook's. The hotel has also been home to the nightclub Cleo – an iconic fixture of Luleå's nightlife since 1979. Now the dance floor is being converted into new hotel rooms in an expansion that responds to the rapidly increasing tourism in the city.

– Tourism is increasing explosively in Luleå and we are meeting the demand with a top-renovated and modern hotel right in the heart of the city. The rooms, restaurants and pool will be the perfect places to refuel when exploring Luleå and Norrbotten, says Petter Stordalen, owner of Strawberry.

The renovation includes all hotel rooms, conference areas and public areas. A completely new relaxation area with gym and pool is being created to offer experiences for both children and adults. The hotel's food offering is also getting a new focus. Restaurant Invit is being replaced by the Nordic bistro concept The Social Bar & Bistro, where classic bistro dishes meet a modern twist - with a focus on seasonal Nordic ingredients. Restaurant Cook's will also be replaced, but which concept will take over has not yet been announced.

– The future feels very exciting for Quality Hotel Luleå. Finally, we can offer an even better overall experience – with more hotel rooms, more modern meeting environments and dining experiences that attract both in-house guests and Luleå residents, says hotel director Maria Fjellström.

The hotel will remain open as usual throughout the renovation period, which will be carried out in stages to minimize disruption to guests and visitors. When the entire project is completed in spring 2026, Quality Hotel Luleå will offer a total of 249 hotel rooms and conference capacity for up to 350 participants – right in the heart of a growing Luleå.
