In June, 2,371,908 passengers flew with Norwegian, which is a new record for passenger numbers since before the pandemic. Widerøe had 394,290 passengers and the group had a total of 2,766,198 passengers. The cabin factor for both Norwegian and Widerøe increased by four percent compared to last year and Widerøe set a new record for passenger numbers in a single month.
– We are very pleased with the traffic figures for June. Norwegian had both the most passengers and the highest cabin factor in a June month since 2019, in addition to good traffic figures for the entire route network. Norwegian's capacity (ASK) was 3,698 million seat kilometers in June, a decrease of 0.2 percent from last year. Actual passenger traffic (RPK) was 3,268 million seat kilometers, an increase of 5 percent. The load factor was 88.4 percent, an increase of 4 percentage points. In June, Norwegian had an average of 89 aircraft in operation.
Widerøe's capacity (ASK) in June was 192 million seat kilometers, an increase of 4 percent from last year. Widerøe's actual passenger traffic (RPK) was 156 million seat kilometers while the load factor was 81.1 percent, an increase of over 4 percentage points.
Punctuality, which measures the proportion of departures that depart within 15 minutes of the regular schedule, was 81.6 percent for Norwegian and 89.1 percent for Widerøe. In June, Norwegian operated 99.8 percent of all scheduled flights while Widerøe operated 97.8 percent of scheduled flights.
Full speed during the high season
In July, Norwegian and Widerøe fly over 400 routes to over 170 destinations.
