The Center Party summons the Director General of the Swedish Transport Administration to a hearing in the Transport Committee, reports P4 Vasterbotten. The reason is that the authority has canceled a procurement for new night trains between Stockholm and upper Norrland. 

The Swedish Transport Administration needs ten locomotives and 91 couchette and sleeping cars but received no tenders and therefore chose to cancel the procurement. 

– It is absurd for a country like Sweden to fail to replace old and broken night trains with new ones, says Ulrika Heie (C), chairwoman of the transport committee, to P4.
