Towards the end of the week, the heat could make a comeback. A high pressure that is building up over Germany and Poland looks set to move up towards the Baltics over the weekend.
– Then the warm late summer air could once again have free rein to move far north and it could be 20 degrees all the way up over Norrbotten, says Peter Kondrup.
If the sun shines, it could be between 20 and 25 degrees in the southern parts of the country. Eastern Götaland has the best chance of warmth. If high pressure remains over the Baltics the following week, the late summer heat could be prolonged. However, the forecast is very uncertain if you look that far into the future, Kondrup points out.
