After almost 20 years as TRAVL, the Swedish hiking and cycling tour operator is changing its name to Epic Trails. At the same time, several new features are being launched, including guided group tours in Italy starting in 2026.

”"We want more people to experience the joy of hiking – the feeling of freedom on the hiking trail or bike – regardless of whether you want to travel on your own or in a nice small group with a guide. The name change marks a new phase for us, where we continue to develop Sweden's largest range of active trips"” says Dahn Svensson, CEO of Epic Trails.

Larger selection – now also including guided tours

Epic Trails has long offered a wide range of self-guided hiking and cycling tours in Europe. Now, it is expanding its offering with guided group tours for the modern traveler who wants a deeper, more comfortable and more social travel experience – without sacrificing freedom and flexibility.

The first guided trips will go to Italy in 2026, with destinations such as the Amalfi Coast, Puglia and the Alps.

”"We really think that hiking and cycling are the best ways to discover the world. When we travel on vacation ourselves, it is precisely the hiking trails and cycle paths that we seek out. We want to pass on that knowledge and passion to our travelers."” says Dahn Svensson.

New website for easier booking

In connection with the name change, a new, in-house developed website is also being launched, www.epictrails.se. The smart filtering options make it easier for travelers to quickly find what they are looking for in Sweden's largest selection of hiking and cycling trips. Booking your trip should be as easy as dreaming about it.
