Record at Heathrow – 8 million passengers

Britain's largest airport, Heathrow, set a new record in August with over 8 million passengers. The total number of passengers was approximately 8.04 million.

Domestic traffic decreased by 2 percent while traffic to the EU increased by 1.8 percent. Africa, which is a relatively small market, increased the most, by 4.9 percent. Traffic to North America decreased by 0.5 percent and is the second most important market after the EU. Freight traffic decreased by 0.3 percent.
