Travel company TUI is being recognized for its innovative and sustainable experiences in Spain. The awards highlight Gran Canaria and Mallorca as examples of authentic travel experiences.
The awards were presented in the category Travel experience during Spain Talks in Copenhagen, an event organized by the Spanish Tourist Office in the Nordic Region. The annual event brings together tour operators, airlines, destinations, media and other key players from the Nordic travel industry to explore trends and discuss the future of tourism.
Each Nordic country was represented by two winners in the categories Travel reportage or Travel experience. In the category Travel experience TUI was recognized for two of its National Geographic Day Tours in Spain:
- Winner, Sweden – National Geographic Day Tour: Apelsindalen (Mallorca)
This excursion combines nature, science and tradition through a trip to the Sóller Valley led by a biologist. The program includes visits to the botanical garden and seed bank, which are usually closed to the public, as well as a culinary demonstration and tasting at a historic glasshouse. - Winner, Norway – National Geographic Day Tour: Guanche Mysteries with an Archaeologist (Gran Canaria)
This excursion allows travelers to immerse themselves in Guanche culture under the guidance of an archaeologist, with exclusive access to private archives and archaeological sites, as well as traditional local cuisine.
National Geographic Day Tours by TUI Musement are designed as immersive, enriching and sustainable guided day trips, developed together with local experts to responsibly connect travelers with the cultural and natural environment of each destination.
These accolades from the Spain Talks Awards demonstrate TUI's role in shaping innovative and sustainable travel experiences and underline the company's commitment to working closely with destinations to deliver products that meet the growing demand for authenticity, responsibility and cultural connection.
