Escapeaway becomes Solfaktor

Escapeaway changes name to Solfaktor and strengthens its position as a leading tour operator in Scandinavia

As of October 7, 2025, Escapeaway and Solfaktor will be united under one brand: Solfaktor. This merger provides a larger and stronger offering to travelers in Scandinavia and marks a natural next step after several years of successful growth, where Solfaktor currently accounts for more than 80 percent of the company's total revenue. By combining the two brands, Solfaktor becomes a clearer player in the market, while the hotel offering becomes more concentrated and easily accessible to travelers.

Around 1,000 hotels, previously only available at Escapeaway, will now also become part of Solfaktor's portfolio. Among these are many of the popular Hideaways – small and charming hotels with character and atmosphere – a concept that has been at the core of Escapeaway's offering. For customers, this means an even richer selection of both classic hotels and unique holiday homes. In total, Solfaktor's hotel offering now includes over 7,000 hotels worldwide.

– This is a natural step for us. By bringing Escapeaway under Solfaktor, we are making it easier for our customers, while broadening our offering with more quality experiences. For our travelers, this means greater freedom of choice, continued low prices and the security of booking through an established Scandinavian player, says Gunnar Grosvold, CEO of Solfaktor.

The team behind Solfaktor is the same, with employees in Helsingborg, Oslo and Copenhagen.
