Sweden may soon become one of the European countries whose citizens will be able to travel to China without a visa. Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) mentioned this during a visit to Beijing.To promote tourism in the country, China has recently begun to ease several visa requirements, but the wounds from the satirical program Swedish News may remain as Swedish travelers have to continue to apply for visas to enter the country.

But now the future seems brighter for people who want to go there, if the Foreign Minister's statement is to be believed. She mentioned, however, that not all the details are yet clear, but that visa-free travel to China will soon become a reality.
