Airport remains closed – after hurricane threat

Sangster International Airport in Jamaica is closed due to Hurricane Melissa. 

”Please DO NOT come to the airport during the closure,” they wrote in a social media post. The US National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane warning and residents of Jamaica have been urged to seek shelter. 

The country's Prime Minister is appealing to his citizens to take the weather threat seriously.
