Norwegian airline Norwegian proposes that Dag Mejdell be elected as new chairman at the extraordinary general meeting on November 20. This is stated in a press release.

The proposal comes after current chairman Svein Harald Øygard announced that he wants to resign and leave the board completely. 

”"The committee is pleased to propose Dag Mejdell as the new chairman. Mejdell has extensive experience as CEO of Dyno Nobel and Posten and as a board member in national and international companies, including as chairman of Gjensidige Forsikring and Elopak. He has previously been chairman of Norsk Hydro and vice chairman of SAS. We believe that he will complement the current board very well," says Nils Bastiansen, chairman of the nomination committee.
