Outdoor dining is being banned in Florence's historic center. It's due to complaints from city residents – but the decision worries restaurateurs.

“Outdoor dining is fundamental to our business,” a restaurant owner tells the Belgian Nieuwsblad.

The historic center of the Italian city of Florence is the oldest part of the city and one of the world's most famous cultural heritage sites. 

However, restaurant owners on the affected streets are concerned about the new rules because outdoor dining is an important source of income for them.
