The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against non-essential travel to several regions in Ghana due to the security situation. 

The decision to advise against it was made on Wednesday and is valid until further notice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' statement mentions the Upper West, Upper East, North East regions, as well as areas west of road N12 in the parts of the Savannah region that border Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs refers to a negative development in northern Ghana, with an increased risk of terrorist attacks and conflict between different ethnic groups. 

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to also change the travel advice for Armenia until further notice. The advice applies to all travel to areas closer than five kilometers from the international border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
