Tech giant Uber has entered into a partnership with Motional that will enable Uber travelers in Las Vegas to be matched with a self-driving robotaxi of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 model.
The vehicles are all-electric and offered through the Uber app. Motional, which is developing the technology for autonomous vehicles, is majority-owned by Hyundai Motor Group.
