Airline giant United Airlines warns that ticket prices could rise by another 20 percent if jet fuel prices remain at the same high level as they are currently.

The company has already been forced to reduce its capacity by 5 percent on routes that are not profitable and cover the high price of fuel.

United, the world's largest airline by capacity, has previously warned that oil prices could rise as high as $175 per barrel.
