The oneworld airline alliance welcomes Hawaiian Airlines as a new member, making it the third US-based carrier in the alliance, joining Alaska Airlines and American Airlines.

The entry strengthens oneworld's presence in the Pacific region, while establishing Honolulu as a new global hub in the network.

“We are delighted to welcome Hawaiian Airlines to the oneworld family. It strengthens our position in both the US and the Pacific,” says Ole Orvér, CEO of oneworld.

Through the collaboration, travelers will have access to an expanded route network with improved connections to the Hawaiian Islands as well as destinations in the region, such as Tahiti, Samoa and the Cook Islands.

Hawaiian Airlines passengers now have access to nearly 1,000 destinations within the oneworld global network, while the airline's loyalty customers enjoy benefits such as priority check-in, faster security checks and access to a large number of lounges worldwide.

“Becoming part of this global airline family brings great benefits to our travelers and strengthens our international reach,” says Hawaiian Airlines CEO Diana Birkett Rakow.

Hawaiian Airlines operates approximately 230 daily flights and had over 11 million passengers in 2025. The company has a strong position in the Pacific with routes to North America, Asia and Oceania.

The alliance also means that travelers can more easily combine trips to and within Hawaii with connections from Europe, Asia and other parts of the world.
