Two Norwegian planes have suffered technical faults and been forced to make an emergency landing at Arlanda.

– Both flights, entirely independently of each other, have experienced a technical issue, says Catharina Solli from Norwegian's press service.

One plane was en route from Arlanda to Malaga, and those passengers will fly with a different plane.

– We are transferring all 146 passengers to a new aircraft and then they will continue to Malaga as planned, says Catharina Solli.

The second plane was en route from Helsinki to London, but was also forced to land at Arlanda. There too, passengers had to change to another flight.

Both aeroplanes are Boeing 737s, but the incidents have nothing to do with each other and are, according to Solli, ”pure coincidence”.
