The Maldives will gather leading tourism players from Asia, Oceania, and the Indian Ocean when the World Travel Awards hosts its grand gala ceremony in the country in September 2026.
The event will be held at CROSSROADS Maldives on September 27th – the same day as World Tourism Day – and is expected to bring together ministers, tourism organisations, hotel managers, and international media from across the region.
World Travel Awards describes the Maldives as one of the world's most sought-after destinations, highlighting the country's strong position in luxury and sustainable tourism.

CROSSROADS Maldives is located near Velana International Airport and is the country's first integrated multi-island resort destination.
The Maldives last hosted the event in 2017 and have since continued to win international awards in hospitality and tourism. The destination currently holds the title of “World’s Leading Destination”.
