False hijacking alarm on a plane

Turkish media are reporting information that a plane may have been hijacked between Warsaw and Tel Aviv, writes TV4 News. The crew is said to have sent out a hijacking alarm.

On the Flightradar24 website, the plane appears to have circled outside Cyprus but has now turned back towards Europe. The information is unclear. According to the Israeli news website JFeed It was a false alarm. The Israeli Defence Forces scrambled fighter jets towards the plane before the pilot clarified that he had accidentally activated the alarm, JFeed further writes. The Israeli television company N12 have the same information that it is a false alarm. N12 writes that the plane is heading towards Sofia in Bulgaria where it is due to land.
