The US Department of the Interior has issued a warning urging American travelers to exercise caution. The warning applies globally, but primarily to the Middle East.

According to a post on X The Department of the Interior believes that the situation in the Middle East, where the United States is at war with Iran, makes the security situation for Americans abroad complex.

”"Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and increased vigilance and be prepared for possible flight cancellations, temporary airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions," the department wrote.

According to the statement, it cannot be ruled out that Iran could attack American targets and citizens elsewhere in the world.
