Aircraft manufacturer Boeing misses analysts' earnings expectations.

Adjusted earnings per share amounted to a loss of $0.76, which was worse than analysts expected. According to estimates from Bloomberg, the analyst consensus was for a loss of $0.28 per share.

It was slightly better than expected, analysts believed in a turnover of 24.264 million dollars.

Operating profit amounted to a loss of $428 million, which was an improvement compared to the same period last year, when the loss was $612 million.

The company delivered 171 commercial planes during the quarter, compared to 150 in the comparison quarter.

”"I am very pleased with the progress our team is making as we execute on our plan. While much work remains in the second half of the year, the momentum we are building continues to take Boeing BA +4,76% in the right direction," Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg wrote.

Boeing shares rose 1.4 percent in premarket trading. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has fallen 2.6 percent.
