The Norwegian Group had a total of 3,061,053 passengers in July 2026 – the highest monthly figure for Norwegian since before the pandemic. Of these passengers, 2,701,132 flew with Norwegian and 359,921 with Widerøe.

– I am particularly pleased that we have managed to fill the extra capacity we put in place in July. With over 3 million passengers for the group, it has been an intense and successful month. High regularity is crucial for customers to get there and back on their holiday, says Norwegian's CEO Geir Karlsen.

Norwegian's capacity (ASK) increased by 6 percent compared to July 2025 to 4,392 million seat kilometers, while passenger traffic (RPK) rose by the same amount to 4,040 million passenger kilometers.

Regularity was 99.5 percent, while punctuality improved to 77.0 percent, an increase of 3.8 percentage points compared to the same month last year. The airline had an average of 94 aircraft in operation during the month.

According to Geir Karlsen, the booking trend has strengthened in recent weeks and the development has continued into August.

– Even during the autumn, bookings have been good and this indicates an underlying good demand in the market. We are well prepared for the coming months, and customers can safely continue to book tickets with us, he says.

Widerøe also reported a stable month. The airline's capacity increased by 1 percent, while passenger traffic was unchanged compared to July 2025. The cabin factor was 80.8 percent. Regularity was 97.9 percent and punctuality improved to 92.6 percent, which is 3.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
